The Elijah Challenge trains fruitful and effective workers for the Lord’s harvest field—especially in gospel-resistant countries in the Third World—for an acceleration in missions during these Last Days—in order for the Great Commission to be fulfilled before the great and terrible Day of the Lord.
Moreover, the spirit and power of Elijah are being restored to the Church in America today “to make ready a people prepared for the Lord”—in order to bring God’s backslidden people back to Him in repentance before the Second Coming of the Messiah. The founders of The Elijah Challenge began full-time ministry in 1978 as missionaries preaching the gospel and planting churches for nearly nine years in untouched primitive regions of Indonesia. Since then they have served as local pastors in New York City and then in Houston, Texas; after that as evangelists; and now they “train the trainers” who will equip harvest workers to fulfill the Great Commission among gospel-resistant people groups.
They have trained tens of thousands of servants of God and disciples in 45 countries around the world on six continents. Local churches in America of course can also benefit from the Training. Church members who are trained will be able to preach the gospel effectively as the early disciples did in Acts to bring both new as well as backslidden souls into the kingdom of God—resulting in growth for churches in the United States.

Exactly what is taught
Luke 9:1 When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, 2 and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.
And then in Luke 10, Jesus called 72 more disciples.
Luke 10:9 “Heal the sick who are there and tell them, “the kingdom of God has come near to you.’”
When in Luke 10:9 Jesus sent out the 72 disciples to proclaim the gospel of the kingdom of God to those who had never heard of him, he commanded them first to heal the sick using the supernatural power and authority he had given the Twelve in Luke 9. (“Gifts of healing” were not given until the Holy Spirit came at Pentecost.) The miraculous healings done in his name were the compelling evidence that Jesus was in fact the Messiah. In Acts when they reached out to the Gentiles the disciples continued to use this very same power and authority to perform miraculous healings—often resulting in impressive harvests of souls.

In The Elijah Challenge Training, you will learn the clear difference between “praying to God for the sick” and actually healing the sick effectively—just as Jesus did—by using the Lord’s power and authority. You will learn how this power and authority which are given to every disciple are very different from gifts of healing—which according to 1 Corinthians 12:30 not every disciple has.
When disciples are taught how to use the Lord’s power and authority effectively according to Scripture, Jesus’ solemn promise below in John 14:12 for all believers will be fulfilled.
John 14:11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves. 12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing…
Infirm believers will also be healed. During the training sessions we will have participants do actual demonstrations of miraculous healing using the Lord’s power and authority. We especially invite those who have heart disease to come to be healed in Jesus’ name. Testimonies of people with heart disease touched by the Lord.
Note:
In Acts when gifts of healing were made available at Pentecost, it was primarily to be used in the Church to build up the body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12). Therefore after Pentecost when the early disciples went out to proclaim the kingdom of God to those who never heard, they continued to use the Lord’s supernatural power and authority to heal the sick—and not gifts of healing—as irrefutable evidence of the gospel to the lost. In The Elijah Challenge you will be taught specifically how to use the Lord’s power and authority effectively and fruitfully as a witness of Jesus Christ.
“Requirements”
The Elijah Challenge does not set “requirements” (honorarium, travel expenses & hotel accommodations) to conduct the Training for the Lord’s harvest workers on the mission field. “Freely we have received, and freely we give.”
