Roorkee is in Uttaranchal, newly named as Uttarakhand

Reported by Joshua Gowda, TEC Training Centre Director in New Delhi

“I was invited by Rev. Dr. Dayal M. Lal, the presbyter in charge at St. Andrew’s Church (Church of North India). The church is 148 years old and was constructed during the time of the British occupation. Currently there are 685 members in the church.

Roorkee is a small city with a population of two hundred thousand people. Rev. Dayal had arranged a four-day convention for their church members from the 27th to the 30th of November. The Foundation Day of the church is November 27.

Rev. Dayal had heard about the powerful The Elijah Challenge Training, and wanted me to train and equip his people during the convention in both the Hindi and English languages. Pastor Vijay Singh joined me and translated for me into Hindi. We successfully trained 474 people. At the end of the Training everyone wanted do as JESUS did. They raised their hands and made a commitment to go forth and witness for Jesus Christ in Roorkee.

Praise the Lord our mainline churches are now taking an interest and opening their doors for the teaching of The Elijah Challenge.”
