"In March
we made our annual trip to Indonesia. Even with all the health issues
it was a very fruitful ministry time. Our children's minister,
Vicki Watson and Pam Johnson from Lakewood Church went with us. They
had the opportunity to connect and do a great amount of ministry to children
in various locations by bringing the Father's Heart message of love.
We had the opportunity to teach and equip believers in healing as a tool
for evangelism. As always, God shows up and brings forth healings. One
specific healing was a woman who had migraine headaches for years and
could hardly function. She was totally healed much to the surprise of
the people. Another example was a woman who had such pain in her knees
she couldn't hardly walk. She wasn't going to come to church that Sunday,
but her husband encouraged her to come. She was healed and accepted Christ
that day. This woman was a Muslim! Along with demonstrating His desire
to bring healing to people, we had the opportunity to teach on the Father's
heart. God good all the time and is always faithful to heal and to show
His love for people.
Another focus this year in Jakarta was to connect again with some of
the leadership and others involved in the National Prayer Network (network
of 5 million intercessors). God continues to expand His Kingdom in Indonesia.
Even in the midst of tsunamis, earthquakes, floods, terrorism, etc, the
church is rising up and not shrinking back. The result is the light is
dispelling the darkness. It is an amazing testimony to prayer and hungering
and thirsting for God to come in the midst the darkness.
We also got to go back to Surabaya with Sister Hanna (Mother Teresa of
Indonesia). We spent an evening ministering to the orphans displaced
because of the jihad several years ago. Most lost their parents and some
were even involved in the killing. They live in a orphanage in a cemetery
and actually sleep on the graves.
Sister Hanna also set up an evening of ministry in a Koranic boarding
school. We met the Muslim cleric, Gus, several years ago. He was involved
years back with the jihads but now works for reconciliation. They set
up a dinner and invited many Muslim clerics and we all ate together.
After the meal I had an opportunity to speak to the leaders and the people
in the village and share how much God loves them and how He wants us
walking in unity. The whole village was there and just as the prayers
go out over the loud speakers, so this was going out over the loud peakers!!
There was great joy as we shared our hearts and love for one another."
"The
Chuck Wagon Ministry (Prayer and Food Pantry) continues
to be blessed. This year we distributed 3530 bags of groceries
which also
means 3530 people were prayed for. We continue to see
people receive physical healing and inner healing through prayer
and offering love,
hope, and healing."
Luke
10:9 "Heal the sick who are there and tell them, 'The kingdom
of God is near you.’"
