In
April 2007 Butch taught and ministered in Ouagadougou, Burkina
Faso as the guest of missionary Steve Parker. Below is Steve's
report on what has happened since then in one of the churches
where The Elijah Challenge Training was held.
"Last
night Pastor Marc Sawadogo came by and shared testimonies of what
has been happening in his local
church the last
twelve months since Butch did his teaching on healing there last
year. So many healings began to occur that Wednesday and Friday all
day are dedicated to healing, and people come from around the countryside
to this local church for healing. The Imam in charge of all the mosques
on one side of town came for prayer and was healed and believed the
gospel of Jesus, and is now under intense pressure from Moslem leaders
not to follow Christ. One special miracle was a woman who was "pregnant" for
two and a half years. Doctors ran tests and took pictures and said
it was a sickness, not a pregnancy. She ran out of money and came
to Pastor Marc's church to ask for prayer and she and the husband
gave their lives to Jesus. She then went back to the clinic and they
told her she had a baby inside of her! She gave birth last December
to a baby girl. Marc said all the doctors were in shock and said
they had never seen anything like it. Hundreds now crowd the church
on Wednesdays and Fridays for prayer for healing, to God be the glory."

"One
of our great joys is to hear testimonies from past campaigns
as we go around the country and meet brethren from various provinces.
Most of the time we see what God has done only after a period
of time as the stories filter out. I heard one special testimony
from the brothers in Tougan where we had campaigns in 2005 and
last year. God moved in a new way igniting evangelism and healing
activity that continues up to now. The brethren told me their
group has not spent 3 hours at home in Tougan since last December!
The most notable miracle was a moslem man raised from the dead
at Tougan in December. The family fled the house in fear when
the brothers prayed for the deceased and rebuked the spirit of
death, then after 5 minutes the dead began to make noise and
came alive. The entire family has now given their lives to Jesus.
They also have seen deaf mutes and others healed."
