Deep
stomach ulcer vanishes & tumor shrinks
It was back in 2007, one week before Christmas. I
had part of my stomach removed. Three days before the surgery,
my surgeon told me, “Mary,
your tumor is now 2.5 cm and still growing. The percentage of people
who survive such a condition is only 5%. Now I give you two choices.
First, I remove the tumor, but because of your conditions we need
six units of blood for you. Also, if on the day of the surgery the
tumor has grown to 4 cm, then the survival rate for you would fall
to 1%. The second choice is to just leave it alone in which case
you will have five days more to live. You have to make a decision
right away.”
At that
moment it was just like someone poured a pot of hot water on my
body. But I thanked God and at that time
God told me “I
am always beside you.” I heard His voice and I told the doctor
to go through with the surgery. The doctor was so surprised and he
asked me, “are you sure?”
I said, “yes.”
He said, “under
one condition---you have to call all your family members to come.” I
asked him why. He said, “don’t
you remember what I told you before?” I told him I did, so
I did what he said. My family all came. They were so sad and they
cried. But I had so much peace and I calmed them down. I told them
to come back on the next day. I would wake up and welcome every one
of them. When the time was up, my family left. I went into the surgery
room and told the doctor to give me five minutes. He asked why?
I said
that I would like to look around. There were lots of things to
get ready for my surgery. I also saw the six units of blood hanging
over the surgical table. After that I asked them to give me a few
more minutes. I prayed to the Lord asking Him to help me through
it. I knew that He would look after me after I finished praying.
Then the surgery began.
The first miracle
I only knew that time passed. It was over ten hours
by the time I woke up. My surgeon told me everything. He said that
they did not
know how it happened. When they took the pictures of my stomach two
days earlier, it was completely blocked. But on the day of the surgery
when they opened me up, the tumor had grown to 4 cm but was not dangerous.
Also, a part of my stomach was very fresh-looking and red. So the
doctor only removed more than half of it; the fresh-looking part
remained. Another thing that surprised them was that I didn’t
need any blood transfusion at all. I could not understand; all I
could say was that it was a miracle from above. Praise the Lord God
who had saved my life!
After
the surgery until January 2009 I did not feel well at all. I went
back to my surgeon. He did a special test on me and found
a large amount of bleeding from my stomach. There was an ulcer
which was very deep because beside it there were some tumors as well.
So my surgeon decided to perform a second surgery to remove the remaining
part of my stomach. He set the date for March 2009, but at the end
of January I got a very bad lung infection requiring me to be hospitalized
for a week. The surgery had to be cancelled. Then in April my surgeon
wanted to look at my stomach one more time.
Second surgery scheduled
He told me that no matter how sick I was, he had to do the operation
because the ulcer was so deep and bleeding so badly. He also told
me that the tumors had been growing as well. So he scheduled the
surgery for May 25, 2009.
In early May 2009 Brother William was invited to
one of the churches in Seattle to hold The Elijah Challenge Basic
Training. Unfortunately
I wasn’t sure about the date so I missed the meeting. However,
one of the brothers gave me William’s telephone number. He
told me to call him, but that since William was so busy he might
not be around. Just try anyway.
On the
following day after I came home from work it was around 7 PM. In
my mind I just had to talk to William so
I didn’t
pay attention to what time it was in Texas. (Actually I didn’t
realize that William lived in Texas in a different time zone and
didn’t know whether he was at home or out-of-town.) But before
I called I prayed to the Lord, “Dear Father, I really need
to speak to William. Could you please let him be home so I can speak
to him? Thank you, Father.”
After
I prayed I dialed the number. It rang twice and a man answered.
I was so happy and I thanked the Lord right away because I knew it
must be William. Sure enough even though I had never met him or heard
his voice, he identified himself as William and asked who I was.
I was very happy and thanked God. After that we started to talk and
I told him about my health problems as well as my impending surgery.
He asked me for what day my surgery was scheduled, and I told him
on May 25. That was May 21, which meant the surgery
would be in four days time.
William
asked me how I felt, and I told him that I was in much pain. He
said he would minister to me over the telephone [by exercising
authority over the infirmity in Jesus' name and had me follow
him and speak forth the commands as he did].
After that he asked me how I felt. I told him that I was perspiring
and felt hot. Then he told me to call him after May 25th no matter
what.
Facing a 1% survival rate
On May 25th I went to the hospital for my scheduled
surgery. When I saw my surgeon he was so sad. He had told the nurses
that I had
been his patient for over three years and that he could not make
me well. Today he would have to remove the remaining portion of my
stomach; he was so sad. Then he spoke to me and said, “Mary,
I have really wanted to avoid this surgery, but your health is so
bad and you have so many problems at the same time. I am afraid you
won’t make it since the survival rate for this kind of surgery
with your condition is only 1%. But I have no choice.” As he
said that, tears streamed down his cheeks. He then left the room.
A few minutes later he came back with a cup of coffee. He looked
at me and asked me how I could look so peaceful---just like I was
when he had to perform the first surgery on my stomach back in 2007.
I told him that I was a child of God and that I had given myself
to Him and that He would take care of me. In fact, I told him, He
is right beside me. I thought he might think that I was crazy. He
was not a Christian.
An amazing miracle "from above"
It was
time for him to begin the surgery, so I told him to do what he
needed to do. Then I went out under the anesthesia.
After a while
I heard him yell very loudly, “THANK GOD, SHE'S
HEALED!”
I woke up because of his loud scream. I asked him
what was healed. He said that he couldn’t understand. My deep ulcer was CLOSED
UP, even though the area was still red and swollen. And the tumor
had shrunken---he couldn’t explain it. He asked me if I had
taken some medication. I told him the medication he had given me
was just for easing the pain, not for treating the problem. Anyway
I had stopped taking it for over two months. But I told him that
four days ago I had asked a servant of God to pray over me. My doctor
asked me where he was. I told him that he was in Texas and had ministered
to me over the telephone. The doctor said that he totally believed
that it was a miracle from above. He had never seen anything like
this happen to any of his patients. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!
My doctor
was so overjoyed that he canceled his remaining appointments and
took the rest of the day off.
