Initial
testimony: Practicing Musl__m healed
"I
am writing from England, UK as an encouragement, to report the
following healing.
In June 2009 I downloaded the four Flash files and watched the Elijah Challenge
Basic Training course to the end. What follows is my first attempt at putting
the training into practice!
A couple of weeks later I was working as a volunteer in a Christian Food Bank
in my home town.
A Musl__m man came in with his voucher for free food. A practising Musl__m,
he told me he went to the Mosque five times every day. While he was waiting
for his food I learned that he had suffered from pain in his legs and feet
for many years, in fact since childhood. I talked to him about Jesus, whom
he knew of as "Isa" the prophet and we talked about the crucifixion
and what it meant. I explained that for Christians Jesus is God the Son, and
that He has been given all power and authority by God, the Father. We then
discussed other aspects of Jesus' life, death and resurrection.
I
asked if he was suffering pain at the moment. "Yes",
he said, "my left leg".
I
asked "Would you be agreeable for me to pray for your leg,
to get Jesus to take away the pain?"
He
agreed, so I explained I would speak to the pain, and command it
to go in Jesus' name. I laid hands on both knees (for good measure)
and, using Jesus' authority, I spoke to the pain and commanded
it to go. After doing this for 20 seconds or so, I asked : "how
does it feel?" He replied: "it feels warm".
Taking
this as an encouragement, I again spoke to the pain in Jesus' name
for about another 20 seconds. This time I said "stand up and
walk about and tell me how it feels". This time he said: "it
feels numb".
Taking
this as another encouraging sign, I again spoke to the pain, as
before, for about half a minute. I again asked him to walk about
and asked: ""how is it?" This time he said: "the
pain has gone".
I
emphasized that Jesus (Isa) was the healer and that he should thank
him for taking the pain away. He said he would. I gave him a tract
to take away that explained all about who Jesus is and what he
has done done for us.
None
of the Christians present in the Food Bank that day had any kind
of healing gift or ministry. The only one present who could heal
was Jesus and He did. So He gets all the glory - thank you Lord!"
I
have created an introductory page on my own website, as a lead-in,
which then takes the reader on to your teaching website:

I
am happy for you to publish this testimony, through any medium,
for the encouragement of others involved in evangelism."

Testimonies
received January 2010
#1. Shortly before Christmas 2009 I
was involved with a Mission Outreach stall in our City Square.
A retired street newspaper
seller I knew had undergone an operation on his foot and leg some
time back. I asked how it was and he showed me how he was barely
able to lift his foot off the ground. I pointed to an A4 size sign
I had made for our stall which said: "JESUS IS HEALING TODAY" and
asked him if he was willing for me to pray in Jesus' name. He agreed,
so I laid hands on his leg and spoke to it in the usual way. I said: "go
on, try it out". He did and reported more movement that before.
I offered to pray again, did so, and he got even more movement in
the leg. He said: "yes, a real improvement" as he walked
off clutching a Gospel I gave him to read.
#2. Two weeks ago while out on the streets with my local City Mission,
I was chatting to a young local guy who seemed to be in pain as he
talked to me. When I asked him he said: "yes, I've got a painful
abscess in the groin" I asked if it was from injecting drugs
and he said "yes". I spoke to him about Jesus and how he
healed people who came to him and said: "would you like me to
pray in Jesus' name?". He said "OK, if you like." I
put my hands on his thigh, spoke to the pain and commanded it to
go in Jesus' name, then asked him how it felt. He replied "I'm
not just saying this, but it definitely feels better." I offered
to pray some more, but he had to dash off for an appointment. I offered
him a Mark's gospel to take away and he accepted it.
#3. Last Friday I was again at work in my local Food Bank when a
man came in with an obvious limp. After some chat he said he'd had
a motorcycle accident some 4 years ago, but still suffered problems
with his hip because the joint is in use all the time. The doctors
couldn't do any more for it, he said. He also mentioned he'd decided
to convert to the Muslim faith 18 months ago, because he admired
their moral lifestyle. On hearing this I cried out to the Lord in
my heart, then said "shall I pray for the pain to go?" He
agreed, so I spoke to the hip, bones, joint, ligaments, tendons and
muscles. Afterwards I could see him looking pensive, so I asked: "what's
happened then?" He replied: "it's gone numb. It's like
when you go to the dentist and they give you an injection and you
go numb". He walked around and confirmed there was no pain at
all. We then talked about Jesus and I invited him to come back and
see us again next week.
