An
evangelistic outreach was conducted in a country where the
indigenous people are forbidden by law
to become Christians. Such conversions in this country are very
risky and thus rare. Just prior to the outreach, disciples
of Jesus
Christ
were
trained
how to heal the sick as Jesus did. At the subsequent evangelistic
event, the poor and homeless---some of whom were indigenous
people---were
invited
to come and enjoy
a meal.
See the two photos
below.

After
the meal they gathered for a meeting where the gospel of
Jesus Christ was proclaimed. A few
of them were mocking and jeering during the sharing of the gospel.
One man was drunk, and a woman was mumbling so loudly it could
be heard from the podium. See the photo below.

After
the Kingdom of God was proclaimed, the disciples of Jesus
Christ who had just been equipped in The Elijah Challenge Seminar
laid hands
on
the infirm
and healed
them as Jesus
commanded his disciples in Luke 10:9. Below are the disciples ministering.

has healed them

By
the time those who were healed began to testify of the miracles,
the jeering had long stopped. Even the woman who was mumbling
loudly at the beginning of the meeting had been touched by
the Lord in her body and had come forward to testify. We invited
the people to accept Jesus Christ as the one
who
has
authority to forgive sin and the only way to
the Father based on the confirming miracles they
had seen. They were glad when they were not asked to renounce
their
religion
and "convert to Christianity," but rather
to follow Jesus Christ as Lord and only Savior. About
ten of the poor and homeless
raised their hands to respond to the invitation---some
of them indigenous people who by law cannot renounce
their
religion
and convert to Christianity.
One
believer who attended
the meeting
said that never before had she seen indigenous
people respond to the gospel in such a way and
in such numbers. Other believers commented that they had never
before witnessed such an event.
The
Word of God actually works. Jesus' command to his disciples
in Luke 10:9 to "heal the sick and tell them, 'the kindom of
God is near you'" can actually be carried out. We have entered
the end times, and the Lord is restoring the spirit and power
of Elijah to His Church.
Matthew 11:5 The
blind receive sight, the lame
walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead
are raised, and the good
news is preached to the poor.
The
Lord performs greater miracles when the good news is preached
to the poor. “God opposes the proud
but gives grace to the humble.” (James 4:6)
Luke 10:9 "Heal
the sick who are there and tell them,
'The kingdom of God is near you.’"
