January 2012

“Two Sundays ago I preached at the chapel at Plane State Jail on 2 Corinthians 5 about our earthly tent and putting on our heavenly dwelling and whether we will be found fully clothed or naked. I followed that up with the story of the wedding feast in Matthew 22. I called on them to examine themselves in the light of Scripture:

“For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people, training us to renounce ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in the present age, waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works.” (Titus 2:11-14)

I told them that that so many so-called believers make provision for the flesh and never walk in the Spirit, for many have never really been born again. It’s treated as “cheap” grace by them for they truly haven’t seen themselves as bankrupt before a Holy and Just God. I took them through the Ten Commandments, the judgement, Hell, The Cross.

Then my wife Mary and I commanded healing in Jesus’ name, rebuked diseases, and demons from a distance. After a moment I asked if anyone had been healed. A woman testified that she had been totally blind in one eye and now she could see her hand. After that, back pain, arthritis, addictions, and many others were healed. Some testified that a terrible smell was coming out of their mouths. Many more came to the front to be healed and they were all delivered and healed; there were so many we can’t remember all what happened. We do know that the Lord showed them through the preaching of His Word and by confirming His Word with the power of the miracles that Jesus is Lord and that He is the only way to the Father.

John 14:6  Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through Me.”
