Mumbai, India: The beginning of the restoration of missions as in Acts

Our final meeting in Mumbai, India

In November 2017 The Elijah Challenge Training was conducted for the very first time in Mumbai, the second largest city in India.

What the Lord just did in Mumbai among the believers—some of whom from the “untouchable” caste of the Mahar tribe—was worthy of note. The climax of the two-day Training took place on the evening of the second day, when believers from various churches in Mumbai as well as a smattering of unbelievers gathered at a Salvation Army hall. There we preached the gospel from John 14, focusing especially on John 14:11-12.

11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves. 12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing…

After the message, we called forward the newly-trained believers. They were now going to fulfill verse 12 above, that is, they were going to heal the sick miraculously as evidence to the crowd that Jesus is the Son of God and the Messiah.

After prayer, those with infirmities streamed forward to be healed by the trained disciples through the use of the Lord’s authority and power. So many came forward that the entire front of the hall (and more) was packed to overflowing. The disciples ministered as they had been trained according to Scripture. Demons in people began to manifest, causing them to scream and thrash about before coming out. Many were miraculously set free as well as healed of their infirmities as the disciples ministered to them. Some were able to testify to the crowd over the loud cacophony of commands, rebukes, and screams emanating from the front as the disciples ministered.

The miracles were the evidence to the crowd that Jesus is the Son of God and the only way to the Father in heaven.

When the dust had settled, unbelievers who had come to the event and witnessed the miracles came forward to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Below our host Pastor Victor (in the white shirt) is ministering to them.

A brand new follower of our Lord Jesus Christ

Now these trained servants of God, missionaries, and disciples in the state of Maharashtra are ready to take part in the restoration of missions as recorded in Acts during these Last Days.
