"I am the National Superintendent of Kingsway in the Philippines. On October 23-25 2006, we sponsored The Elijah Challenge to come to train Christians in healing ministry. It was the finest and most effective seminar it has been my privilege to be a part of in many, many years, maybe during my entire 45 years of ministry! …This will be one of the most edifying seminars you or those you bring will ever attend during your entire Christian life! Sounds like hyperbole, [but] not a bit of it. It is true, entirely true! I urge you to attend--if at all possible.

…The title of the seminar is about Evangelism, but the focus is on how healing and the salvation message go "hand in glove" and work together based on the Scriptures and by the power of the Holy Spirit. When The Elijah Challenge was with us, I saw 100 people healed in three nights, and the total crowd was only 650, so 100 out that group is an astounding percentage.

…The main emphasis and activity are training believers to do the healing themselves rather than relying on the pastor or some invited "superstar" healer. This is mobilizing the body of Christ!"

Below are selected portions from Dr. Miller's comments in the January 2007 issue of the Kingsway Fellowship International Philippines newsletter:

"There's a New Jersey brother (named Oleh Farmiga) who has helped this ministry for several years. Every furlough we see him, attend his fellowship, and have an opportunity to speak to his people. We've repeatedly invited him to come minister at Kingsway Fellowship International regional conferences in the Phillipines. In 2005, I thought he was finally persuaded, but he e-mailed, "I've got somebody much better than me" and introduced me by e-mail to Brother [...] and his wife. I was dubious when I discovered that even Oleh had never met them personally. Happily, all concern vanished after my first personal communication with Brother [...]. The anointing even flowed over the internet! The Elijah Challenge website was a powerful confirmation that, "Yes indeed!" without the slightest doubt, we wanted to sponsor them in the Philippines.

Then we discovered they were already scheduled to minister here in the Philippines in October 2006, and were willing for us to "hitchhike" on their schedule, meaning we could have them between their time in Indonesia and in Davao City.

To describe Brother [...]’s teaching is difficult—so many words come to mind—anointed, lucid, penetrating, cogent, inviting, clear, gripping—made all that much more powerful by the excellent Powerpoint visuals. You might think this is overkill—but when you sit through Brother [...]'s teaching, you find yourself not wanting to leave the room for any reason lest you miss a word of his powerful, and always Scriptural, presentation. After listening for just a short time, you realize this conference is going to be something special. Almost from the outset you know you've made one of the best decisions of your entire Christian life, the decision to hear The Elijah Challenge, and this you know in your spirit long before seeing any demonstration of healing.

Brother [...] demonstrated the teaching at the end of day one. Immediately people were healed! A conference teaching Christians "how to heal" stirs up suspicions, but nothing was amiss, any more than a conference teaching Christians how to win the lost would be amiss. Jesus, the only Savior, is also Jesus, the only healer! They teach Christians how to be let Jesus heal through them. They personally laid hands on only a few, instead training and directing others step by step to release the Lord Jesus' healing ministry. They demonstrated the difference between "praying for the sick" and "healing the sick." All in all, at least 100 people were healed. This we saw with our own eyes."

"We attended a great seminar called "The Elijah Challenge" at a Filipino American Church here in Houston, Texas. The seminar is taught by Pastor William, a former 9-year missionary to Indonesia/Borneo, and now the world. He learned by experience, by God's grace, and by study of the word, how to minister not only deliverance, but healing to non-believers. Using the Luke 10 New Testament model, all faithful believers are able to administer healing and deliverance in extraordinary and powerful ways. Not just praying for healing but powerfully commanding healing in Jesus' name.

Wlliam first shows these principals in the Old Testament where Elijah challenges the prophets of Baal (thus the name "The Elijah Challenge") and God shows his strength by bringing fire from heaven. He traces this theme of God delighting to show his power in his faithful servants from the boy David slaying Goliath, to Christ ministering to the poor, sick and lame, and into the New Testament with the Apostles and disciples like us. He really explains in a simple, deliberate, and powerful ways, why believers don't achieve these results, and what is required to achieve these results today. I witnessed this occurring in Houston and participated in healings in Jesus name at the end of the seminar.

The seminar is a short two day course but at the end of the seminar / "boot camp," we saw many ordinary church members dramatically healed of long standing diseases and illnesses. In fact, I was one of those people who experienced healing at the hands of my fellow students in the powerful name of Jesus. "This past conference was such an incredible blessing. There were representatives from about eight churches and the training was clear as well as faith building. Every person who was trained is now empowered with the ability to take authority over demons and disease in the context of evangelism. During the conference many people were healed of various infirmities. People were healed of neck pain, back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, One person who had an accident over 22 years ago and was still dealing with pain was suddenly delivered.

During the evangelistic crusade there were many who had infirmities and there were many who needed Christ. Brother William proclaimed the gospel out of John 14 and the gospel was presented in a clear and yet powerful way. William demonstrated that Jesus had authority to forgive sins by His authority to heal infirmities. He invited the trained believers to come forward to heal the sick. Many came forward that evening and many were healed. Some who had Lyme disease were healed; others with joint pain, neck and back pain were healed. One woman who had many infirmities who was involved in the occult was not only healed of her infirmities, but trusted Christ as well. There were so many miracles that it was difficult to document them all. But the greatest of all miracles were the seven people who publicly professed the faith in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord. [Editor’s note: According to Pastor Chris, this is about one half of the number of people who normally come to Christ in his church in an entire year.]

The great blessing of this conference is that God is restoring His people with a great confidence that He is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow, and that God has given His church great power to defeat the works of the devil. You could sense the excitement of God’s people in learning and using the authority they have in Christ, and even a greater excitement and awe for God as He demonstrated His miraculous power. I am so grateful for William and Lucille for imparting to us the tools necessary to advance God’s kingdom with power and authority."

I was in attendance for two days (out of an extensive three-day seminar and hands-on training) at my church here in Minnesota in June. Brother William, who resides in Texas, was the lecturer. His work with The Elijah Challenge is to train the Church of Jesus Christ in the End Time Model of Evangelism. This involves the equipping of EVERY ordinary believer. It is potentially instrumental in helping the Church fulfill the Great Commission. His concentration was also in healing as was various aspects of prayer. It was one of the most effective, clear, in-depth, strong, balanced, well-put-together, scripture-based trainings I have ever been in. Many healings amongst believers took place. Truly God has called out and anointed Brother William to instruct and to equip the body of Christ in these areas. I considered it a true blessing to have been in attendance.

The Spirit of the Lord moved mightily amongst the Vietnamese community with such strength but at the same time with tenderness and love. I've heard of the signs, wonders and miracles that have taken place at the trainings and outreach; beyond this, I strongly feel that the greatest movement of the Holy Spirit is beginning to happen within the leadership of the churches.

I believe I'm not alone in recognizing that the Lord is galvanizing the churches in unity for the impending outpouring of His power over the churches of such magnitude that we have yet to see. "Pastor David asked me to teach in the Spanish Church last Sunday night and I taught what you taught us and guess what? We saw more people healed as the people took authority over sickness and pain and ministered to one another, plus a few people received the Lord as Savior! It has been wonderful to see Luke 10 happening in our midst.

We thank you for your love, your gracious and humble spirits, your laughter and especially for your inspiring and life changing teachings. F.C.A.'s people who were trained at the seminar exercised the commands of authority today over some of our people who needed healing and these were the results.
Elizabeth (our secretary) exclaimed "I couldn't move my arthritic hand and now the pain is leaving and movement has returned." This healing followed the command for the pain to leave "now" and for her to be healed. Jerry's back pain lessened; Israel said, "the pain in my tooth suddenly subsided and my back is better too."

Some of the comments that were made regarding the seminar were as follows. Peter said "this was an excellent teaching". Kathy thought the teaching was excellent and "sane." We needed this teaching and demonstration of God's power. The world needs to see the Church demonstrating God's authority in the streets and proclaiming "the kingdom of God is here."

“It was a wonderful time of learning and a great challenge. I am excited about the power and the authority God gave us and I am looking forward to not only walking in that authority, but seeing the church of Jesus Christ reacquaint herself with that authority also. I enjoyed our fellowship also, and your love for Jesus Christ and [the presentation of] His gospel was refreshing.

… It is exciting to see how God is using His people to take authority. I just got an e-mail from Patti L. who also went and God used her to heal another sister in the Lord from back pain. How great is that, God is good all the time!”

“I think you are going to enjoy this testimony. Tonight, Sunday evening, we had our power hour healing service. Prior to the meeting I asked God to show me if anyone had pain that they needed healing. After I prayed I got a pain in my left side, just under my rib cage. After worship was finished I explained the Scriptures in 1 Kings 18 and talked about the authority God gave the 12 and the 70 and 1 cor. 2:4 how Paul preached not with human wisdom but the Spirit and by power, I sensed there was a spirit of fear and unbelief and took authority in Jesus name and commanded those spirits to leave. I shared with them the gospel and that there is healing in the atonement, I then prayed and asked God to reveal to His people that He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. To demonstrate to His people that He is a healing God, willing and able to deliver from demonic forces and disease. After I prayed I shared with them that God showed me that someone in the audience was experiencing pain in their left lung. For a couple of minutes no one came forward, and I prayed silently that the person who had that affliction would come forward. (I felt like Peter on the water and I was tempted to doubt, but I held fast, and one man named Scott R. stepped forward. I took the authority that Christ gave me and commanded the pain to leave in Jesus’ name and to be healed. After I ministered to him, he started weeping, the pain was gone. He gave testimony that he has had a serious infection in his lung of some name that I can't pronounce or spell that was very painful, so much so he was considering getting out of construction work because he works outside. But the pain is gone and I and he believe wholeheartedly that he was miraculously touched by God. I invited all those who were at your Seminar last weekend to step forward and minister to those who have afflictions, and several people were healed! One was healed from shoulder pain, one from pain from a neck injury, and we are trusting that God would heal two that were afflicted with asthma, they will give report when they can confirm the healing. It was a very powerful Spirit-filled night. PRAISE GOD FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW!!!

Thank you once again for the training you provided. It is exciting to walk on water. I hope that you are encouraged that your training has born spiritual fruit in Port Murray, New Jersey. I can't wait to see what God does next and I am looking forward to your coming in October.”

"Praise God for what He is doing in the earth and thank you for being an important vessel to bring the teaching of God's healing power to us! We are so blessed to know you and look forward to having you back with us again in the summer. I plan to take the teaching and train more people with it this year with your permission. Leslie and I are going to the Philippines to preach and encourage our churches there. I will also bring this teaching and train the people how to heal the sick and preach the gospel there. After returning from the Philippines, Pastor Hoa reported on what happened there:

"We discipled our Freedom leaders and members on "how to heal the sick in Jesus's Name" using excerpts from Brother William's syllabus. It was an all day seminar incorporating 6 hours of teaching to over 100+ people!

We held a "Healing Service" at our Freedom Church in San Raymundo and saw people repent, get saved, backsliders returned, demons were cast out, other believers were baptized in the Holy Spirit, and divine healing was done in Jesus' name! And the pastors were refreshed and touched by the Holy Spirit!
- An elderly woman testified that all the pain in her chest and heart disappeared!
- A young woman testified that a cyst on her body was also healed!"

"I want to thank you very much for your love. You and your team are a wonderful team. We saw and touched Jesus through the team. We saw and touched Jesus through your prayers, actions, behavior, words, and your ministry. You sacrificed with your time, money, effort, and all your life to come to minister people whom you don't know at all… really this is Jesus' love. God bless you all.

When you came [on your first visit] last year and my family and I met to pray with you, I couldn't imagine at all what God would do in our country a year later [when you returned]. I spoke with you, I began to arrange [the Campaign] with other people but it never came to my mind that [we would witness such] great days.

Maybe you came with your team just for evangelistic meetings but for us it didn't really mean just that, you did more and more:

· You changed our attitude about healing, you put [in its place] a new one. God used you to change our mind and thinking. It was the first time in El-Minia to have a conference about healing. All the leaders and the pastors were affected by that conference.
· You joined together two big church communities, the members of Campus Crusade in El-Minia with the members of the Evangelical Church in Saft El Laben in El-Minia, especially the leaders who become so close friends.
· You encouraged about 100 staff leaders and students in those days to work together for the new events
· I can confess that every member of my staff has at least one situation which makes him weep with much tears.
· It's the first time to see about 20,000 people [who] have very bad illnesses and circumstances in 4 days.We saw how much Satan had done; [it was a] great challenge to defeat him by healing people and casting out these illnesses and troubles.…Can you see it was not only a matter of evangelistic meetings but also more than this? And I need more time to write more about these results.

My general observation and impression of this Campaign is wonderful:

· It was [not only] the first time in El-Minia, but also in Egypt to have an event like this, in that we had 20,000 people in four days in two meetings every day, these are historical events in Egypt. We made a big tent which holds 5000 chairs that the attendance was about 5000 people daily from different districts, towns, different levels in teaching [education], in living [standard], in different things.
· We held 5 clinics for different cases for men and women, old and children…all kinds of people. We had about 1500 cases through these four days. They received medicine, eyeglasses, and other things for free. (Each case paid only [a nominal fee].)
· The Seminar about Healing Encounters encouraged the leaders and pastors to practice healing in their churches. It was a very new teaching in our churches.

As for my observation on the impact of the Campaign on the work of the gospel in El-Minia, I can say that it was more that we expected. My town is not large and I know many people. So after this events, many people see me in the street and stop me to ask many spiritual matters, they ask me to make it [the Campaign] again. Others say, I know you, you were the interpreter for Brother William…how is he? ...and so on… And as I wrote in the beginning how it was wonderful for us.

About miracles: to see a blind person, and God opened his eyes, and to see a lame [person] can walk, it did many things in our people in El-Minia: some were encouraged by their healing, others take new steps in faith, others asking God to have this power.

After you left many cases came to our office saying that we were healed but I couldn't stand to give my testimony because of the crowd. Another came with her child, he was about 4 years old. He had a bad disease in his chest, now he is completely cured. An old man couldn't move, his son's wife came to our office to explain how God healed him in those days and other stories I have.

Let me share some of the statistics:
· about 20000 people attended these meetings
· about 10000 people accepted Jesus as their Saviour
· about 1500 were treated in clinics

Let me say I myself was changed in my life, faith, and attitude which makes me (as a Campus Crusade director) lead my staff in the office with a new power, new view, and new attitude.

The last miracle is spite of all these new attitudes, new concepts, new healing, and many new [things], we didn't face any attack from others till now but otherwise people love us and appreciate us."

"I am glad to say thanks to you today as a way of showing my gratefulness to the great work you did for two weeks in Niamey for the sake of the Gospel. I can't still help smiling as I am trying to figure the way that God lead this Campaign. Of course Clive Cook (Director of World Horizons for West Africa, co-sponsor of the Campaign) and me started talking about this without any conviction the first day. And we did a very short prayer that day. I couldn't imagine, Brother William, that this will end into an event so great in the history of the Church in Niger. Oh dear brother, may God bless you as you struggle to carry out his will for the world in darkness. Your meekness and humility touches me deeply, and I praise the Lord who has brought at this point.

My life as a pastor and leader is really affected: I have learned to be bold in ministering the healing. I have got much more in faith. Through that campaign I can say God added something more to my faith. I could through the campaign know the kind of message we give when we try to bring people know the transforming power of God. I discovered that God can do much more as we try with humility to show that he is the almighty God. I also concluded that without signs, wonders and miracles we only do very little in winning the souls.

The first important thing the campaign has achieved for the churches is the unity. That was the first time that really the churches worked together in real spirit of unity. Also many barriers have been knocked down; indeed some of the churches that ministered healing didn't believe in it. They though that is for the pentecostal churches. Through your teaching and training they were convinced that anyone who is engaged in announcing the Good News in the name of Jesus can do so. Moreover, henceforth the churches are united and free to work together without any denominational discrimination . The church in Niamey is confident in preaching the Gospel with signs and wonders.; the church knows how to handle the spiritual warfare; the church is really bold in preaching the Gospel.

The Gospel will become effective in Niger as the Musl__m people will themselves witness miracles in the name of Jesus. There will be much more fruit than what we had previously. the Chuch in Niger will become really bold and effective in reaching out to Musl__m people. The harvest will be great."

Dr. Paul Rains, Missouri

Dr. Paul Rains is a physician practicing in Missouri who trained with Brother [---] in Crusades they held in Togo, West Africa in January 2002. Since then the Lord has used Dr. Rains in miraculous healing as he preaches the gospel in overseas Crusades. Dr. Rains below reports on his meetings in India, where he ministered in March and April.

"We held two open air meetings in Punjab—one in Makhu and the second in the large city of Moga. Between 275 to 300 received Jesus Christ as Savior in Makhu and about half that many in Moga, a total of around 400 to 450 in all. These meetings were attended by Sikhs and Hindus among others. God demonstrated His power by miraculous healings, which pointed honest seekers to the reality of the true God of redemption. On the first night in Makhu one elderly man regained his eyesight after years of blindness.

On the last night in Moga one young man drove up on a motorcycle and said he was going to come back with others to disrupt the meetings. Many of our young men stood at the entrance ready to intercept them if they arrived, but they never did show up. We later learned that Hindu dissidents were in the audience and reported the event of the meetings to the newspapers. They hoped that the sympathetic anti-Christian media would generate problems for our evangelistic efforts.

Reporters were especially interested in the physical healings. They interviewed those who testified in the meetings of healing, and could not find any case that was not valid. So they reported this and gave a positive account of our meetings which was published all over Punjab, one of the states of India. God thwarted the enemy's attack! The claims of Christ were broadcast throughout the state, reaching a much greater population than those present at the meetings."

He ministered to her in Jesus' name and asked how she felt. She replied that nothing happened. He ministered again and she answered that the pain was gone, but the tumor was still there. He was encouraged, thinking 'if the pain has gone then I must minister again.' After the third time the lady said that the tumor was shrinking. Once again he ministered to her in the name of Jesus, and the tumor completely disappeared from her body. Praise the Lord!"

Last Sunday I got a call on our cell phone from a friend who was with her young daughter in the hospital. The daughter had been having trouble for some time with her teeth. She had been poorly diagnosed (the dentist "missed" for abscessed teeth!) and it had developed into lymph node involvement. There was a cyst in the lymph node and lots of pain. They were due to operate Monday. I prayed with the girl over the phone and COMMANDED HEALING in Jesus' name. On Wednesday her mother called to tell me that they had x-rayed again before the surgery on Monday and found that the cyst was gone. The pain was also gone and they dismissed her from the hospital. Glory to God for the care He has for His little ones!"

Clive Cook, World Horizons, Niger, West Africa: the Testimony of Maisel and Roberto

Clive Cook is the Director of West Africa for World Horizons, a mission organization. He and his wife Alice are based in Niger, a country of ten million souls. The work of the gospel in Niger had had its struggles---some of the missionaries sent out to the bush had gone mad, and had to be withdrawn. Last January when we were conducting open-air Crusades and Seminars in the nearby country of Togo, Clive joined us. He was encouraged when he saw the Lord doing many miraculous healings to confirm the gospel in the Crusades and as well as in the Healing Encounters for believers. He took the teaching of Healing Encounters back to Niger and shared it with his missionaries, and sent them back to the bush. Here is a report we just received from his wife Alice:

"I haven't forgotten the testimonies of the healings we have had here. The Brazilian guys [missionaries] working with us who have been praying for people and seeing them healed are writing down their stories from the local language and so I will send these on to you when I have them. Because of the number of people healed in one completely unreached village they have now about 100 people coming to a Bible study. During some recent evangelism in this village they came across a demonized girl who threw herself into a well while they were there. They managed to retrieve her and through prayer she was delivered. She and her whole family were converted. But more about that a bit later!! Praise God! It's very exciting.

Maisel and Roberto are the 2 Brazilian guys [missionaries] working with us in a bush village about 180 kms from Niamey. They have been there since January and God has certainly blessed their work. This last month they baptized the first 4 of their converts which was a major encouragement. The lady that I wrote to you about who was possessed and then delivered had in fact been given to Satan in a pact by her grandmother. She was not able to talk even to her family when the pressure in her head was intense. She had an extreme heaviness in her head all the time. When she was giving testimony she said that she knew she was being healed as this heaviness lifted from her. Her husband had left her when she went mad, but now he has come to take her back. Her mother who was converted too is continuing to pray for her daughter 3-4x/day.

Another lady called Arayfatou had been paralysed for 3 and a half years. When Maisel and Roberto prayed for her she got up and started walking round the compound. She nows walks everywhere without the aid of a stick or anyone else. There had been another lady who was travelling in from another village to come and help her, but when she arrived they sent her home as now Arayfatou didn't need her help.

Another lady who had very poor eyesight had also been healed, but her eyesight became worse again after 3 days. The guys are still learning lots about all this and are looking forward to your coming. Maisel is reading your book at present. In so many ways these 2 guys are just a mirror image of your time in Indonesia - it's very exciting to see what God is doing there. Maisel is just 22 years old and Roberto not much older."

"Praise God!! Praise God!! Since I've been home I have had numerous opportunities to put into practice what I learned yesterday! Praise the Lord…Tammy a young lady in my Sunday School class was very sick this morning when I went to get her for church. So I laid hands on her and commanded the infirmity to go in Jesus name---and she was in church tonight! Well, first my back and then severe pain in my ears---just a blatant attack from the enemy---so I took authority in Jesus name. I had to speak to the pain in the back several times, but it left in Jesus' name. And we had a testimony in Sunday School class about a man who had cut off his finger. [In Jesus' name] we spoke life back into that finger and the report this morning was that there was life coming back into it…the doctor was amazed! We spoke over it again this morning [in Jesus' name] and are looking for a total healing. (The man is a friend of someone in our class, so we were speaking over it in the name of Jesus from a distance.) The seminar was great!

I feel such a challenge from the Lord to just step out in a way I have never considered and watch HIM work! I can't describe it. I use the word feel, but it isn't a feeling inside or an emotion, it is a knowing, a complete abandonment…I don't know how to tell it. But I feel a complete turning inside out. I've been serving God for 12 years and He has done so much and I've come to places and seasons in Him where I could sense and see Him change me and take me to a higher place in Him. But right now is different from all those times. And I thank God for it!"

A Senior Associate Pastor at the Encourager Church in Houston had been suffering from a knee problem for years. Last Saturday Pastor Billy attended our Workshop on Public Power Encounters. When Pastors Randy & Jennifer Campbell (who had attended the Workshop last year) laid their hands on his knees at the Workshop, God's healing power touched him. For the first time in many years, he was able to do deep knee bends freely!

Hallelujah! I'm still on a cloud from Saturday's POWERFUL workshop. Awesome! Man of God, I tell you, your ministry is not only in line with the Word of God, but it is timely (kairos). Fact is, the place should have been packed with more pastors, but many fall to pride. As for me, I'm sold out to Christ, and as his apostle, my calling requires that I speak boldly, confident, and be immune to embarrassment. I have "no shame" concerning the call to minister. ...Many have become tired, and frustrated, that their many, many, prayers have not been answered. I know they pray for the people to be delivered, to be healed, lives to be refreshed. But they miss it, they should be tired of praying (not that praying is bad), BUT THIS NOT THE SEASON [ONLY] FOR SEEKING PRAYER IN REGARDS TO THE PEOPLE BEING HEALED. I spoke a word to a group of pastors recently, in that as seasons change, we are past the season of focusing [only] on Praise and Worship, we are past the season of [only] Seeking God's Face. Fact: We are in His Presence-- IT IS NOW TIME TO ACT! As you instructed in the workshop, Don't [just] Pray! Command! Take authority and heal In the Name of Jesus! Christ was not just moved with compassion for the people, He took action! He stretched forth His hand and healed! ...And again, I shared all that to say, Hurry! We need you to teach us. Many pastors are ashamed to admit they need guidance and correct teaching. I thank God for you and the Elijah Challenge.

Missionary Gabi Soltau, whom the Lord has used to minister in many nations of the world

"I took the Healing Encounter Seminar earlier this year, right before I went on a missions trip to several countries in Europe. I was so blessed by the simplicity of the Seminar and its profound biblical truth. I saw how in the past when praying for healing for people I had prayed "amiss" at times. My first stop on the missions trip was Aberdeen, Scotland and several people received immediate healing when I prayed over them. One lady had severe neck and back pains for years and was barely able to move her upper body. She came "running" to one of the outreach locations where I was in order to testify that her back was completely healed.
