"In
1978, my wife and I left California to preach the gospel to unreached
people groups living in the primitive darkness of West Borneo. At that
time I had been a Christian for just two years. I had never led a Bible
Study or taught Sunday School, but had witnessed on the streets of Southern
California as a first-year seminary student. We had no formal training
for missions, no mission board or church to send or support us. I had
no missionary visa, and no idea what we were going to do after we arrived,
except to trust God to lead us. But God was enough. He miraculously opened
doors for us to "dance on the edge of the earth" for nine years.
By His grace, we led to Christ many souls bound in the grip of sorcery,
idol-worship and false religion. We witnessed powerful signs and wonders,
made disciples and planted churches in areas which had lived under the
complete domination of demonic strongholds. Dancing on the Edge of the
Earth is the you-can't-put-it-down account of the mountain peaks and valleys
we experienced as we followed Jesus to the ends of the earth."
