“Two days ago we and our second batch of disciples-in-training went to a Hindu village around 7 km from our base of Bhawanipatna. There was a little girl named Rogi who was possessed by demons. She was unable to see and could not talk. She was unable to walk and she was out of her mind.”

Training disciples in India today as Jesus trained his Twelve disciples to fulfill the Great Commission

“Our disciples had been sharing the gospel with other Hindu homes in the village. The Hindus were told that we were there to minister healing to the sick and cast out demons in the name of Jesus Christ. Someone went and informed the family of the demonized girl that we were there to cast out demons. The girl’s father—who happened to be the village chief—approached our disciples and asked them to help his daughter. Our disciples-in-training went and cast the demons out of the girl in the name of Jesus Christ. Within a few minutes the demons left, and the girl was wonderfully and miraculously set free and healed. The family of the village chief and the surrounding neighbors were astonished. They believed and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ.

The following day we went back to that village to learn more about the family and about reaching other areas of the village. The name of the village chief is Dasarathi. He then shared with us that his wife was suffering from a heart condition for which they had to travel to Cuttack once a month for a check-up at the hospital there. After hearing this we ministered to his wife in Jesus’ name. Afterwards she testified that she was healed. We also ministered to other family members, and preached the gospel to them.

Our hope and expectation are that through the family of the chief many people in the village will now come to Christ. Near their home afterwards we came upon ten elderly people who were sitting outside. We shared the gospel with them.”
