Extraordinary reports from our harvest workers in India
“Our Elijah Challenge workers are moving ahead reaching unreached villages, irrespective of tribe to include downtrodden peoples. Our work therefore is going on among various people groups and languages.
Here are some reports just received:
In the village of Jarongloi a family was being disturbed by demons at night. They would be awoken by sudden strange sounds in the middle of the night. For about fifteen days they wouldn’t sleep at home; instead they slept in their neighbor’s home. Many sorcerers were summoned to their home and did their best to cast out the demons. But when the family went back home to sleep, the attacks began again.
Then our Elijah Challenge workers stopped by their home and assured them that the demons would not return. Our workers spent the night in their home, and nothing happened. So the family asked them to stay one more night since they were still very afraid. (The demons did not return.) It was a wonderful opportunity for our workers to start a house church in their home.
Purnam Bhoi from the village of Mhada had suffered from arthritis for one year. He had difficulty walking and doing any kind of heavy work. He had been to several doctors and was under medication, but did not get well. Our Elijah Challenge workers ministered to him and he was miraculously healed. Both he and his wife accepted Christ.
Romancha Naik had a kidney infection, and was very weak. He was in dire financial straits. Nevertheless, his doctor advised him to go to the hospital in the state capital for treatment. But after our workers ministered to him continually for three days, the Lord touched him. He was able to eat, to walk and started doing what he couldn’t do before. He testified to what he felt after being ministered to. His entire family accepted Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
A young man named Suraj had been bitten by snake, and his health was endangered. His family wanted to summon a sorcerer, but Suraj had witnessed a miraculous healing when our workers ministered to a sick woman. So he wanted our Elijah Challenge workers to come by to minister to him. With the hospital far from the village, the family had been indecisive where to take him. Our workers went and ministered to him. He was miraculously healed. Three families witnessed this and accepted Jesus Christ.
Sunita, an elderly woman, had been unable to walk due to long-term back pain. For two years she had taken medicine twice a day. Without the medicine she couldn’t move around. One day while she was seated on her veranda, our workers who were passing by noticed something a bit unusual about her and inquired about her health. She was very glad to hear from them that she could be healed for free. After our workers ministered to her, she was supernaturally healed. They also ministered to her grandson who had been suffering from seizures. He was also healed.
A woman named Sunabati Nayak had been suffering from migraine headaches. Most of the time her head would spin. When our workers ministered to her, she was healed.
