A man wanted to commit suicide. He was very frustrated with life, and did not want to live anymore. So he went and hung himself from a tree near his village. Many people saw him and were helpless to do anything for him. But our Elijah Challenge workers happened to be passing by, and ran to the tree hoping to save him. They found him unconscious with blood coming from his mouth and nose. His neck was all swollen.
Everyone thought he was dead. Some wanted to have him cremated. Others wanted to take him to the hospital.
But our workers began to minister to him in the powerful name of Jesus. As they did so they began to feel warmth emanating from his chest. They continued ministering to him until after forty-five minutes he opened his eyes. At first he couldn’t recognize anyone. But after a few moments he was able to identify people. They helped him up and he began to walk slowly. Then he went home. Seeing this, four families accepted Jesus Christ. In this way God has opened the door for a new house church in that village.

Extraordinary reports from our harvest workers in India
The Elijah Challenge equips harvest workers to reach resistant people groups effectively and fruitfully by training them to heal the sick miraculously as Jesus did (John 14:11-12)—as irrefutable and compelling evidence that Jesus is the Messiah and the only way to the One True God who created the heavens and the earth.

A child had suffered from seizures for a long time. One day he collapsed unconscious with saliva dribbling from his mouth. Our Elijah Challenge workers happened to be ministering in that village, and the boy’s father summoned them. As our workers ministered to him, he immediately woke up healed. His father and mother then put their faith in Jesus Christ, and want to open up their home for fellowship once a week. They do not want their son’s disease to come back.
A man had suffered from pain in his stomach and chest for months. He used to take a pain killer. One day the pain was so severe he went to see a doctor. The doctor told him that he needed to go to the district headquarters hospital for a scan. There a scan revealed the presence of newly-developing kidney disease. After this diagnosis the man was upset and confused not knowing what to do, especially since with his limited means he could ill afford the expensive treatment. Because of this one of his friends encouraged him to go meet with our Elijah Challenge workers. He met with them and shared about the kidney disease.
On a Sunday our workers ministered to him with the Lord’s power and authority, and encouraged him to continue coming for fellowship. Within 3 to 4 days the pain subsided, and within a week he felt so well that he didn’t want to take any more medicine from the doctor. He has accepted Christ and continues to attend our fellowship.
For three months a woman had suffered from pain in her waist following a gynecological operation. The pain was so severe that she had difficulty walking and when working. Most of the time she would feel pain. Our Elijah Challenge workers ministered to her, and she was completely healed.
