Extraordinary reports from our harvest workers in India
“We are continuing to receive very encouraging reports from our workers on the harvest field here in India. Please continue to pray for us and for the work of the gospel.
Mali Munnda had been suffering from some terrible disease. One of his hands had been getting progressively weaker. It was emaciated and losing color turning black. The doctor could not diagnose the problem and so was unable to prescribe any treatment. In Mali’s village most of the around 84 families had heard about his suffering. When the doctor could do nothing, Mali tried another way, summoning a sorcerer. But he also failed to help. Mali was very frustrated. But our Elijah Challenge workers were preaching the gospel in his village. When they ministered to him, he was healed by the Lord Jesus. Within a week the color of his hand was restored to normal. Wonderfully, ten families in that village accepted Christ. A house church has been started. Our workers are expecting to harvest that entire village for the gospel.
In a village called Umerkote lived a young man who had been demonized for 15 days. He wasn’t able to recognize anyone, and was completely under the power of the demon. His parents had summoned a well-known sorcerer, but the demon attacked him as well and wouldn’t leave.
After three days they heard about our Elijah Challenge workers, and so summoned them. When our workers entered the house the demon became quiet. After it was commanded to leave in Jesus’ name, the young man was thrown to the floor and the demon left him. He and his family accepted Christ.
Sabita had worked as a laborer in the state of Kerala. There she was possessed by a demon. Unable to work there, she was brought back home by her family. Our Elijah Challenge workers happened to live near their village. In that area people would summon our workers whenever some sickness or demonic attack came upon the people. When our workers ministered to her, she folded her hands and the demon said, “I will leave.” Praise the Lord her family accepted Christ.
A young man was addicted to alcohol. One day he met with an accident and was severely injured. His father had died earlier leaving his mother a widow, and so she did not have much money having her son treated. She took him to the government hospital for primary treatment, but they referred him elsewhere for more specialized treatment. But due to lack of money, she did not take him. One day she met with our Elijah Challenge worker and explained the situation to him. Our workers then went to her home and ministered to him. Our dear Lord touched him miraculously. He was healed and delivered from the addiction. He stopped drinking and ceased from other bad habits as well. He and his mother accepted Christ and began coming to the fellowship. Praise the Lord!
An elderly man had been suffering from typhoid for a week. He was very weak and had difficulty walking normally. Our worker ministered to him and the Lord healed him.
