April 2012

During the Passover weekend of 2012 we were hosted again by the People’s Baptist Church in Sao Paulo. His grace was very evident upon the teaching as well as on the ministry of healing to the infirm. As just one of many testimonies, a woman who had recently undergone heart surgery came forward to be healed at the first session on Friday morning. She was experiencing pain around her heart and could not move her upper torso freely. She was weak and unable to walk quickly or to run. Two trained sisters came forward to lay hands on her and exercise their authority over disease in Christ.

As they did, she felt an ice-cold sensation flowing into her upper body—the healing power of Jesus Christ. I then took her by the hand and led her in a brisk walk across the stage. She walked without difficulty. I had her walk faster and faster back and forth. Finally she was running to and fro with a big smile on her face. She fell to her knees on the stage with uplifted arms and gave thanks to the Lord. It was a dramatic moment before the crowd. After a few moments a pastor stood her up. She came to me and testified that the pain had completely disappeared, and that she felt fine even after running back and forth. She was able to move her upper torso freely with any pain whatsoever!

During the weekend we continued the teaching which we had begun last February on our initial visit to the People’s Baptist Church here, and went on to more advanced topics. On Resurrection Sunday, we preached “by His wounds you are healed” from Isaiah 53, and the Lord confirmed His word by healing many infirm people as the trained disciples ministered to them. In the photo below, people then came forward in response to the message of repentance from sin by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
