God’s amazing works at Plane State Prison
September 24, 2010

“I preached a sermon at the chapel last Sunday on the parable of the sower in Luke 8. At the end of the teaching I asked them to examine their motive for coming to Christ whether it was genuine because they had sinned or was it to test the waters of Christianity to reap the benefits that are so often promised.

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?–unless indeed you fail to meet the test!

I asked them if their lives were bearing fruit worthy of their repentance and told them that the proof of their salvation would be to continue to believe, continue to repent, and to continue to bare good fruit as a result of their faith in Jesus Christ so that they would not come to the end at the wedding banquet lacking the wedding garmet.

Matthew 22:11 “But when the king came in to look at the guests, he saw there a man who had no wedding garment. 12 And he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you get in here without a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless. 13 Then the king said to the attendants, ‘Bind him hand and foot and cast him into the outer darkness. In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

I brought them through The Law (10 Commandments) to expose their sin and shared The Gospel of The Cross and encouraged them to repent of their sins and believe on Jesus Christ who has paid their fine. I encouraged them to read The Word daily and to let The Holy Spirit be their teacher and to make no provision for sin, but to be holy as Jesus is holy.

Romans 13:14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.

I told them that God does not change and that He still uses his disciples to cast out demons and heal the sick as was commanded in Luke 9 & 10. I told them that The Kingdom of God was among them now and that I would call on the Father to heal the sick and cast out demons to prove that Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father.

Acts 4:12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Miraculous healings confirm the word of God

Mary and I commanded in the name of Jesus Christ for demons to flee and infirmities to be healed and following that we asked if there were any testimonies and a woman testified that her eyesight had definitely improved for she was looking at the words on the outside of a Bible cover which she couldn’t previously read but now could read perfectly. Two other women had said they felt addictions fall off of them. We asked if there were any bad knee problems and a woman came forward saying she needed a replacement. Mary laid hands on her knee and we commanded it to be healed and told her to walk and she reported that the severe pain was gone.

And more…

The following Wednesday evening at our Prison Bible study a woman who was at the Sunday service had blood vessels burst in both eyes. Her eyes were totally bloodshot throughout her eyes and she told us that during the service she had felt something different about her eyes and after service she went and looked in the mirror and her eyes were all clear.

There have been several healings in our class, to name a few, a woman who had severe pain following several back surgeries was healed. The pain was gone, and she has total range of motion. A woman had endured abdominal pain all through the class. When we ministered healing at a distance (as Jesus did in Luke 7), all the pain left.

A woman had arthritis in her hands such that she couldn’t make a fist and her hand was restored. She came up to me in class and told me that her condition was due to a horse riding injury where the horse’s weight had crushed her hand with about 2000 pounds of pressure. She reported that she had a gift for drawing but had not been able to draw any pictures in a while. After the Lord healed her, she showed me some recent pictures she had drawn and they were beautiful.

A woman had a decayed tooth pulled by the dentist in the prison and was in severe pain. She had been waiting all week to see us so we commanded the pain to go and she was healed immediately.

Putting to death the works of the flesh

While we were teaching about disciples walking in holiness a woman told us that while her husband was in prison she had committed adultery and that she had knowledge of him doing it as well. This past act had been weighing heavily on her heart. She said that she wanted to be obedient in walking as Jesus did. I shared with her and the class about the authority Jesus has given us to cast out demons and heal the sick is the same authority that we must exercise over sin in our lives. I taught that we are no longer slaves to sin but slaves to righteousness, and that Christ expects us to be holy as he is holy.

We prayed over this woman and commanded any past demons to flee and come out of her. She was very broken before God and the next week she proclaimed that when evil came up in her mind that it was as if she didn’t hardly have to battle at all and she was smiling almost with a giggle of joy about her defeat over the enemy.

There were many more healings that took place, but these are the ones I could recall. I pray that these may be helpful to those who read them so as to produce faith in Jesus Christ and to walk as he did.”

Glory To Jesus Christ,
