What our Lord prophesied 2,000 years ago is now gradually coming to pass in the post-Christian West. Nigel Farage, the former leader of the UK Independence Party and proponent of Brexit, said on a Fox News interview that traditional Judeo-Christian values are no longer taken seriously (and we would add even held up to ridicule) by mainstream is leaders in Great Britain. Instead Islam is now coming more and more into the mainstream—even the mayor of London is a Muslim.
Judeo-Christian values are based on what the Bible teaches, especially on what was taught by Jesus Christ. From that among other things we hold that marriage is between a man and a woman; that adultery, fornication and abortion are sins; that divorce is only a last resort in certain situations including marital infidelity on the part of the spouse.
Progressive liberalism which arguably has become the “mainstream” wants human beings to be completely free from such Biblical injunctions. They want us to be free to indulge in our flesh and never to be held accountable before a holy and righteous God. Therefore they must deny that God exists. They must deny that Jesus is the Son of God and the only way to the Father. They deny what Jesus taught and what He commanded.
John 14:15 “If you love me, keep my commands.
We who follow Jesus Christ keep His holy commands—commands which are now considered hopelessly outdated, completely out of the mainstream, and even held up to ridicule. “Liberals were horrified to learn that [Vice-President] Mike Pence doesn’t dine alone with women who aren’t his wife and doesn’t drink if she’s not around.”
Progressive liberalism absolutely abhors our Judeo-Christian values, and therefore detests us followers of Jesus Christ as well.
And because we are at odds with Islam, progressive liberalism is friends with Islam: “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.” At one recent anti-Trump demonstration there was sign which read: “We are all Muslims.”
Because our President Donald Trump stands for traditional Judeo-Christian values, the mainstream hates him to death.
According to Fox News, the professor also tweeted the following blasphemous statement:
“If only Mary had had an abortion! We would have been spared this Clerical-Fascist crap. #His Glory my ass!”
It’s arguable that this sentiment is representative of the thinking of liberal mainstream culture in America today. And so what the Son of Mary prophesied 2,000 years ago is indeed coming closer and closer to pass.
According to Fox News, Some Notre Dame Students ‘Feel Unsafe’ With Pence as Commencement Speaker. If some students at Notre Dame, a Catholic University which subscribes to the moral principles underlying Christianity, object to what our Vice-President Mike Pence (an evangelical Christian) believes and stands for, how much more students at secular universities in America. Some students at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh (a Catholic university) argue that the planned opening of a Chick-fil-A in a university food court threatens the “safe place” for LGBT students. Given that approximately 90% of the college professors who teach our children are liberal, how much more will the next generation hate us because of Jesus Christ.
