“A very powerful report I received today…
Dharam Singh, the chief of his village, had been tormented by black magic at the hands of a sorcerer. One leg was badly swollen, and there was an open wound in the lower part of the leg. He went to the hospital at the state capital, and was prescribed medication. After taking it for six months he did not experience any changes. Many told him that it was the work of sorcery and that he had to find a good sorcerer to counteract it.
He accepted their advice and after a search found a well-known sorcerer whom he consulted for months. But this sorcerer was unable to help him. Finally he heard about and then approached our Elijah Challenge workers, explaining to them what he was going through. Our brothers encouraged him, telling him about the Savior Jesus who would be able deliver him from the voodoo and heal him. Our workers ministered to him in Jesus’ name. The swelling receded miraculously. and the open wound dried up within three days.
Chief Singh was so very glad for his healing after having suffered for a long time. He and his relatives along with eight other families accepted Christ. A house church started up in his home. He is calling his relatives and other believers to come to the meeting.”
