“My wife and I listened to your teaching series and tried to apply it to a couple who we recently met. The wife had a stroke 3 years ago and is unable to open her left hand. Her husband has scoliosis in his back and had to quit truck driving.
We applied the same format that you do and there were no results. We continued for over an hour and still nothing. Neither of them go to church or read the bible, so we were really hoping that they would get healed so that they would be more interested in living for God. The husband chain smokes, so we also prayed against the smoking, but no results.
It’s kind of embarrassing because we told them with faith that they were going to be healed. They now have no interest in reading the bible, so I’m not sure what to do now. The proof is in the pudding as they say, and there was unfortunately no proof for them to draw an interest.
I have to admit that it’s affected our faith in a negative way. We have prayed over each other for illnesses to go away and nothing happens. My wife started developing a skin rash on her body last month and we prayed for it to go away, but it just seems to get worse. She finally went to the Dr. to get a prescribed lotion and it started to go away, but now it’s coming back again.
We’re just wondering if there’s any advice you can give us. We have no faith to pray for others right now because we tried and it didn’t work.”

“Thank you for joining us for the broadcasts and taking the obedient step of actually applying the teaching for sharing the gospel with the lost. The Lord is pleased with your obedience!
Now let me address the matter of why nothing happened when you ministered to the couple. I think I should have addressed these things during the broadcasts.
First of all, the infirmities you attempted to heal (relating to stroke & scoliosis) are not “small mountains” which are relatively easy to move into the sea. Such infirmities generally require greater faith and authority and perseverance which may take some experience to acquire. It may be better to start with lesser infirmities like ordinary pain—headache, backache, pain in the knees, and the like. Those are “smaller mountains” and easier to heal. When you see these infirmities being healed, then your faith will grow to take on more severe infirmities.

It would be good if you could go through the Training again, this time on video. The more you are exposed to the Scriptures, the greater will be your faith and understanding; and the more effective you will be in healing the sick.
Do remember that you are being tested. If you give up easily and quickly, then you have failed the test. Persevere in believing the Scriptures and obeying the Lord’s command to heal the sick and proclaim the kingdom of God. If you do, you will start seeing people healed.
Allow us to share with you the testimony of another listener to the broadcast:
“I have been meaning to send you this email since session one but I have not been able too. After session one listening on the archives I done the healing to my wife. At first she was skeptical but I was able through Jesus heal her finger from pain. The finger still puffy from the poison of the spider that bit her 5 months ago. The good news is that after 2 weeks no pain and she can use her finger normally where before she could not. After the finger she wanted me to help her with her cyst in her neck that she has had for two years. The pain when away and it shrunk from a size of a quarter to the size of a dime. I would rewind the teaching to where brother lau would say put on hands in the location of sickness or pain. Then she had me do her back and as she rotated her arm in a windmill motion we would her a pop. After the healing the pain went away and popping stopped.
After teaching two I did the healing to my Grandmother where she was healed of leg pain, back pain and got rid of her headache. She said when you Jesus healed my headache i felt something leave like a pealing away of something sticky. I am currently enjoying session 3 of the healing teaching.”
Be encouraged, dear ones, and do not give up!
Remember what the Lord told Joshua as he was about to lead the Israelites into the Promised Land:
Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them. “Be strong and very courageous… Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:6-9)
